Advancing Language Access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Infants & Toddlers

This session explores how professionals can support families in creating rich, accessible language environments - whether through visual, auditory, or multimodal pathways. Participants will examine advanced considerations related to early hearing technology, visual language acquisition, and the impact of linguistic accessibility on cognitive and social-emotional development. The webinar highlights interdisciplinary collaboration and the critical role of professionals in ensuring families receive balanced, evidence-informed guidance. Through case examples and practical strategies, attendees will strengthen their ability to coach families, promote meaningful communication interactions, and empower caregivers to make informed, values-aligned language decisions.
