Note: This session is a repeat of the Assistive Technology (AT) for Young Children – An Essential Conversation! webinars held in FY 25-26.
This interactive professional development session explores the role of Assistive Technology (AT) in supporting young children’s participation in everyday routines and activities. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of AT and its continuum, hear a compelling family story illustrating real-world impact, and learn how to document AT use effectively in Evaluation Reports, IFSPs, and IEPs in alignment with IDEA Part C and Part B.
Through guided discussion and practical examples, the webinar will address common myths, clarify federal guidance, and emphasize that AT is a shared responsibility across disciplines. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies and access to key resources to support family-centered decision-making and implementation in the home, early childhood settings and the broader community.
