The Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports is pleased to announce the following training opportunity:
Engaging Caregivers in Session Planning: Meaningful Targets, Routines, and Strategies
Dates, Times and Locations:
Description of the Training: This interactive training will build interventionists’ skills to support caregivers to be shared decision-makers in identifying the session plan for their child. A case study example will highlight the importance of the caregiver role. Each component of session planning will be discussed and defined including targets, routines, and strategies. Participants will engage in activities to practice strategies for coaching caregivers to be active team members in their child’s session.

Target Audience: Special Instructors, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists who are working in Infant Toddler Early Intervention.
