Description of the Training: This session will provide participants an understanding of mood and depressive disorders and how to support parents who are experiencing them. In the first session, participants will learn about perinatal mood disorders and depressive disorders, specifically as they relate to women and mothers. Participants will also learn about the impact maternal depression has on surrounding systems, identify barriers to treatment, and discuss best practices in supporting mothers who may be experiencing depression.
