EITA Training Announcement - Support Engagement in Routines by Decreasing Challenging Behaviors and Building Communication Skills

The Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports is pleased to announce the following training opportunity for Endorsed PA Early Intervention Coaches:

Support Engagement in Routines by Decreasing Challenging Behaviors and Building Communication Skills

Dates and Times:

●      September 13, 2024; 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

 ●     September 25, 2024; 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Participants will apply content from previous online learning related to Family Guided Routines Based Intervention (FGRBI) and Caregiver Coaching specifically to address challenging behavior from a developmental-behavioral framework promoting meaningful engagement in family-guided routines. Participants will identify the underlying factors leading to young children’s challenging behavior and learn practical intervention strategies to use when coaching caregivers to build their competence and confidence in supporting their children’s social emotional and communication development.

Credits: Infant Toddler Training Hours, Act 48 Clock Hours, ASHA, OT, PT, Coaching Approved Training Hours

Target Audience: This training is limited to Endorsed PA Early Intervention Coaches (Special Instructors, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists).
