EITA Training Announcement - How to Build Trusting Partnerships with Childcare Providers and Coaching with Childcare Providers During Everyday Classroom Routines

The Bureau of Early Intervention Services and Family Supports is pleased to announce the following training opportunities:

How to Build Trusting Partnerships with Childcare Providers

Date and Time: November 8, 2024, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

In this session, we will describe five ways that early interventionists can set the stage for coaching with childcare providers while building a strong partnership built on mutual respect. We will reflect on our biases and assumptions about childcare providers, consider how to reframe these thoughts and assumptions to honor the experiences and expertise of the childcare provider and discuss how to communicate about our role as early interventionists in the classroom. This virtual session will include discussions, reflective activities, and examples from community-based settings.

Coaching with Childcare Providers During Everyday Classroom Routines

Date and Time: November 15, 2024, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

This session will focus on how to use a systematic framework for coaching (SS-OO-PP-RR) that helps childcare providers embed strategies into their everyday classroom activities. These strategies will help you (and the child) get out of the corner and into the classroom routines where all children learn.
